SUPPORTING ETHIOPIA’S PASTORALISTS

Pastoralists like Ali Hamadu have among the highest rates of poverty and the lowest levels of human development in Ethiopia. Climate change has only added to their burden: Hamadu lost all his livestock in the drought that has ravaged Ethiopia since 2008. But today he is thriving, thanks to an MDG-F programme to improve rangeland management and boost livelihoods for 32,000 pastoralists.
