These farmers in Qena Governate set up an enterprise to dry tomatoes, a major crop in Upper Egypt, and to sell their products directly to consumers. The MDG-F’s SALASEL programme supported six farmers’ associations and trained 1500 farmers in agricultural methods and small enterprise management.
